Reaction To The First Three Pages.
_As soon as I read the first sentence I could tell whose perspective it
was from and it had also intrigued me to keep on knowing more. I guess
walls started the story like this because she want the audience to know
get a feel of the outcome and then later in the book she will describe
the journey it took. I think the book will be about the kids helping
their parents change their ways and act differently like becoming more
responsible and sophisticated.

1. She opens the story that way because the first part A Woman On The Street was in her perspective already. She began with her burning herself because it was considered her earliest memory she's trying to recall and plan out the story she wants to portray to the audience.

2. The parenting style of Rex and Rose were loose meaning they didn't care as in what their kids were up to. Not caring what they do and how they behave. The parents believe that children learn best when their free or have freedom. So from what I've read in the book about their lives is pretty true. From the perspective that the book is told in the girls on in her single digit years yet she knows more than I have when I was that age. Benefits of this parenting style would be they learn more and they have more experiences as the book portrays. Some drawback could be that the children could get in such trouble if not guided on the right track also because both parents aren't very fond of getting jobs and sticking with them it could make the children who could end up like them.

_1. This question is important for him so he doesn't feel like hes
actually letting them down or else he might not be there anymore for
them. When his kids tell him "No Dad" their opinions matter the most to
him because their his family he loves and wants the best for them. He
came through for them when he had bought them bikes, and bought them
lunch when they hadn't had anything.
2. Rose Mary Walls is portrayed as an carefree woman who only wants to paint, be an artist and is an adventure junkie. Her excitement addiction is meaning she loves to go on adventures and loves to have a good time. Such as when her and Rex Walls left to get some stuff from the where they had lived before in Phoenix, where Jeanette had describe her moms cheeks "I could tell by the high color in Mom's cheeks that she was excited about the prospect of an adventure." That says she was indeed excited to go.
3. If I had worked for child service I would have them taken away because they are not financially stable, their father is an alcoholic, and their living condition is horrendous. First of all they don't have money to afford food most of the time, they have to scavenge for food in garbage or steal it from others. Secondly their father comes home drunk and then goes and haves these violent moments where he'll get break things or attack Rose Mary. Lastly living in a house with barely any furniture or electricity and the room leaks, that's horrible for any child to live in.

I believe it takes a hugely amount to forgive her parents for letting survive like she had for so many years and for mistreating her at times.
I wasn't surprised that they were all still close because I guess their parents had played some role in their lives to somehow keep them connected, like always having fun adventures. I also think they remained close because they followed them to New York and having to know your love ones are their without a house, living on the streets is quite worrying.
I think she chose this to end the book because it had always been the what her father had believed in and lived.
The thing that will stay with me when I let the book down is that the glass castle isn't actually about a glass castle but it was about a life of a family who had to over come obstacles in order to get to where they need to be.
